MJE EDIS

The JEA EDIS is a working group of 10 students, from the Gexagro association created in 2010. In the following of the association, we are offering an expert assessment in the field on biodiversity and naturals resources protection, in developing countries.
This mission of expertise is part of our courses in ISTOM, the Higher Education School of International Agro-Development.

What is JEA ?

The Junior Expert Assignment is an assignment where ISTOM students are at international organizations’ disposal to carry out a specific expertise for them.
This mission includes:
- Field study abroad during 4 to 8 weeks
- At least one written report with the study results
- The production of original data or synthesis
In order to propose a high level of labour and expertise capacity, for the whole preparation process, the group is supervised by a permanent ISTOM teacher. Its preparation lasts 16 months before the field study.  We use these 16 months to define their project, find the funding, organize their field study and write a methodology memorandum adapted to the sponsor’s requests and to the local context.
